Windows Uninstall

To uninstall Sametime Unified Telephony Call 8.0 CF1:
1. Exit IBM Lotus Sametime 8.0.2 client.
2. Launch Add or Remove programs. Open it by selecting Add or Remove Programs in the Control Center or by executing "control appwiz.cpl,,0" from Start -> Run.
3. Scroll down to the IBM Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony Call 8.0 CF1 and press Remove button.
4. Press Yes when asked if you want to remove IBM Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony Call 8.0 CF1 from your computer.
5. Make sure uninstall completes without any errors, press Finish button.

 

Optionally, after uninstalling IBM Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony Call 8.0 CF1, you can also uninstall IBM Lotus Sametime 8.0.2 hotfixes. Note that it is recommended that you always run Sametime client with the latest hotfixes installed.

 

To uninstall IBM Lotus Sametime 8.0.2 hotfixes through Update site:
1. Launch IBM Lotus Sametime 8.0.2 client, log into Sametime community server.
2. Go to Tools -> Plug-ins -> Manage Plug-ins...
3. Select and uninstall the following features and hotfixes:

under \rcp\eclipse

  • com.ibm.rcp.accounts.features.patch 3.0.0
  • com.ibm.rcp.provisioning.feature.patch 6.1.1
  • Core JVM Feature - jclDesktop 1.0.0

under \shared\eclipse

  • Sametime Update Feature Patch 8.0.2
  • Sametime Annotate Feature Patch 8.0.2
  • Sametime Application Services Feature Patch 8.0.2
  • Sametime Application Feature Patch 8.0.2
  • Sametime MicroBrokerBridge Feature Patch 8.0.2

4. Wait a few minutes for Restart dialog to come up, press Yes to restart the client automatically, or press No if you decide to restart the client yourself.

Linux Uninstall

To uninstall IBM Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony Call 8.0 CF1:
1. Log in with the same account used to install IBM Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony Call 8.0 CF1
2. Exit IBM Lotus Sametime 8.0.2 client.
3. From command line run rpm -e sametime-unified-telephony-8.0.2-2.
4. Make sure uninstallation completed without errors.

Mac Uninstall

To uninstall IBM Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony Call 8.0 CF1:
1. Launch IBM Lotus Sametime 8.0.2 client, log into Sametime community server.
2. Go to Tools -> Plug-ins -> Manage Plug-ins...
3. Select and uninstall the following features and hotfixes:

under /Contents/MacOS/rcp/eclipse

  • com.ibm.rcp.accounts.features.patch 3.0.0
